Michelle Lozano - Trade Up Talent Owner

About Me

Early Inspirations

Hello! My name is Michelle Lozano, and I am the proud owner of Trade Up Talent, LLC. My journey into the world of Human Resources and staffing began at a young age, inspired by the industrious spirit of my grandfather and father. As a child, I was fascinated by their ability to fix anything and spent countless hours in the garage learning about tools and mechanics. That early exposure instilled in me a deep respect for the blue-collar world and the value of skilled hands.

My love for Human Resources was strongly influenced by my late father. From humble beginnings, he rose to hold respected roles such as HR Manager, Corporate Diversity Consultant, and Regional and International Director of Programs for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). He also taught HR courses as a university professor. His dedication to ethics, hard work, and equal opportunity continues to guide me today.

Academic and Professional Journey

Originally from Bakersfield, California, I attended San Diego State University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I bring more than 20 years of experience in HR, recruiting, and staffing, working in both corporate and agency environments. My experience includes finance, accounting, operations, administrative roles, and call center staffing.

However, it was my first role out of college in construction and later skilled trades staffing where I truly found my passion. Supporting the trades industry and connecting skilled professionals with the right opportunities became the focus of my career.

My Mission

In 2011, I relocated from San Diego to Phoenix and eventually founded Trade Up Talent, LLC in 2024. My mission is to provide businesses with qualified, experienced, and dependable professionals who help companies grow and thrive.

Construction and skilled trades are the backbone of our society. My goal is to bridge the gap between top talent and employers who value their skills. I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where workers can grow, succeed, and support their families.

Trade Up Talent also challenges the impersonal approach of large staffing agencies that focus on volume over quality. Our company emphasizes a personal, family-oriented approach to staffing, helping build a healthy workforce and stronger communities.

Personal Life

Outside of work, I am a proud mother of two wonderful children — a 10-year-old daughter and a 27-year-old son who lives in Las Vegas. I enjoy attending sporting events, concerts, live theatre, fishing, running, and volunteering with my church.

Cooking, reading, and writing are also passions of mine. Every day I am grateful for the opportunity to help people find meaningful work and support businesses through strong staffing partnerships.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey and the values that drive Trade Up Talent, LLC. I look forward to partnering with you in achieving your staffing and career goals.
